About Our Firm

Wilson Tax & Accounting is a well-established accounting practice with a full-time staff of seven professionals. The firm was started in 1958 by Bob Wilson and is now led by the brother-sister team of Scott and Kim Wilson. Over the past 10 years, they have grown the practice successfully, which required a recent expansion into new corporate headquarters.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help clients maintain financial viability in the present while taking a proactive approach to achieve future goals. This requires open communication to reach an understanding of our clients' needs, thorough research, and sound analysis. Wilson Tax & Accounting Services is dedicated to meeting these goals with high standards of excellence and professionalism.

Our Team

Kimberly D. Wilson (206)783-8822

Kim Wilson has 30 years of accounting experience and is the co-owner of the firm. She oversees and manages all tax deadlines and has the role of managing partner. Kim loves working with and meeting new business owners. She is passionate about helping individuals be financially successful and save money on their taxes. She enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, and her two cats.

Scott Wilson (206)783-8822

Scott Wilson is an Enrolled Agent and senior tax partner in the firm. He consults with clients on business startup and growth strategies. He enjoys explaining the numbers in easy-to-understand terms to create value and ensure proper tax planning. Scott is a seasoned expert in preparing income taxes for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. Scott has an extensive background in the restaurant and grocery industry and owned a car accessories business. He enjoys spending time with his three children and two grandchildren, traveling and golfing.

Sarah Blurton

Sarah joined the firm in 1999 and has since dedicated her life to payroll. She enjoys working closely with her clients and giving them the personal attention they deserve. She handles all aspects of payroll for our firm, including initial setup, check writing, garnishments, tax payments, quarterly forms, and year end forms. When she’s not working she’s raising her two beautiful daughters Jasmine and Trinity. She also enjoys reading, writing, and reality t.v.

Rolene Claflin

Rolene joined our firm in 2011. She earned an accounting degree from Eastern Washington University and is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She has over 30 years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper in various industries including construction, retail and non-profits.  

Rolene is interested in sewing, cooking, and reading. She enjoys spending time with her husband, four daughters, and two grandchildren. 

Rachel Claflin

Rachel joined our firm in January of 2015. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Law, Societies, & Justice from the University of Washington in 2011. Rachel has grown in her role at Wilson over the years and now prepares personal income taxes as well as processing payrolls and books for clients; she is also a Notary Public. Rachel lists reading, traveling, gaming, and karaoke among her favorite pastimes. She enjoys spending time with her family and is a proud aunt. 

Beverly J MacCarthaigh

Beverly has been an Accountant for 25 (plus) years, with experience in Job Cost Accounting for Construction firms, plus a broad experience with all types of business bookkeeping. She joins the firm to do our bookkeeping, and Corporate Income Tax Returns. She has a passion for knitting, weaving and all forms of fiber arts, and was a literature major. She lives with her cat Kismet. 

Jeff Wilson

Jeff started working for Wilson Tax & Accounting in December ’17, he will be a full-time employee working with each area of the office where needed. Jeff is the Varsity girls’ basketball coach at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, WA. Jeff was named Coach of the year for 2018. 

Naomi Stanley

Naomi joined our firm in January of 2019. She has ten years’ experience managing a tax office and preparing taxes, including assisting clients with IRS notices and amended tax returns. She loves taxes because it employs both her analytical mind and love of people. The tax advisor/client relationship is extremely important requiring confidentiality and trust. Naomi’s primary personal focus is her family: husband Chris and two daughters and Siberian husky. She is invested in her community and church. She loves creativity. She dabbles in knitting with wire to sewing to building closets and welding. She recently completed her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northwest University after taking a break to raise her daughters.
